I have been a member of a number of different networking organisation during my 25 years in tourism. None of them have been as worthwhile as the SCBWN. This group of amazing business woman support each other like I had never experienced. The mentoring program, awards program, breakfasts and world class speakers are worth every single penny and time commitment.

Bursary

The SCBWN Bursary is a key initiative of the SCBWN and was initiated in 2008 by former SCBWN President Karen Neuendorf and her husband Keith. The bursaries are to assist women across the Sunshine Coast to achieve their educational and professional goals. Its purpose is to financially give a hand up to women providing an opportunity that may change their life and in turn the lives of many.
SCBWN regulary committs monies from tickets sold at monthly breakfast meetings and raffles at Golf Days and any other events towards the bursary. To date we have given out over 16 bursaries to women across all disciplines and educational providers that will fund their future educational opportunities.

This is our legacy from the network to give other women their chance to be contributing community members. Each bursary is valued at $500 and must be used for education or training.
