The Sunshine Coast Business Women's Network runs two very successful mentoring programs a year that cater to the different personal and professional needs of our members.
Designed for women in small business, an owner operator and someone who is looking to gain more business knowledge, be in an environment of complete support or someone that wants to take themselves and their business to the next level?
The program is based on 4 x 4 hours sessions held monthly over 4 months, completing with a Graduation evening.
The program is specifically designed for Micro/Small Start up Businesses – If you are a business with 5 or less staff, have been in business for 5 or less years, an owner operator in business or you are just starting out in business, this program will be for you.

The Sunshine Coast Youth Partnership (SCYP) Young Women's Strategy is supported by Sunshine Coast Business Women's Network (SCBWN) in two ways. Firstly, through the mentorship of members, offering their time, expertise and life skills in this program and through the donation of money raised through raffles.
This pilot program was launched in May 2010 and was based on early intervention to change beliefs, attitudes, behaviors and skills of girls aged 12-15 years old identified as at risk of unsafe or unhealthy decisions and activities. The Young Women's Strategy program components, delivered by Lifebridge, include: educating; mentoring; case management; and, personal development workshops. Targeted outcomes were: self confidence; personal power; positive choices; support network; and, role models. Ultimately, this is a leadership program aimed at inspiring a positive future with hope, identity and purpose.
The mentees have been referred for a variety of reasons including family breakdown, self harm, low self esteem and learning difficulties. Extremely positive outcomes have been achieved, with girls gaining self confidence and communication skills to recognise unhealthy situations and make positive relationship choices, identify goals, increase school attendance and grades as well as re-engage with family supports.
The SCBWN looks forward to continuing to support this important program.
