2024 Business Woman of the Year Awards

The search is now on for the Leading Business Woman of the Sunshine Coast.

Who do you know that deserves this recognition?

We strongly recommend you read the various web pages that relate to the Submission Process.

Eligibility:

  • A short checklist to ascertain the eligibility of a Nominee:

    • A female who is living in Australia and is either an Australian citizen or has Australian residency status; and they have been associated with the Sunshine Coast based business nominated since 1st August 2023

And they are not:

    • an employee of the Sunshine Coast Business Women’s Network (SCBWN);
    • on the Executive Committee of the SCBWN;
    • an employee or business owner of the Sponsor specific to their category of nomination
    • an employee or business owner of a Judge of the SCBWN Business Woman of the Year Awards; or,
    • a previous Outstanding Businesswoman winner

Category Guide:

There are six award Categories.  The categories of Outstanding Business Woman and Sustainable Business Woman are selected from the other 4 categories.

Please suggest a Category for your Nominee. Your Nominee can however choose to submit for a different Category if they feel it better suits their business situation.

The Category that you include on the Nomination Form is for our guidance only.

Young Business Woman of the Year

A Business Owner or Employee who is 19 – 35 years old as at 1st August 2024. A Young Business Woman can choose another Category to enter if they are eligible for that Category.

Corporate Business Woman of the Year

A Business Owner with more than five (5) full-time equivalent staff employed by the business. 

Micro Small Business Woman of the Year

A Business Owner who employees five (5) or fewer full-time equivalent staff.

Professional Business Woman of the Year

An Employee who has no ownership in the business they are nominated for.

 

The finalists for the Sustainable Business Woman of the Year are selected from the finalists across all categories.  The Sustainable Business Woman of the Year finalist can be a Business Owner or employee who shows a demonstrated track record for a sustainability approach to their business with a focus on the social, economic and environmental impact on their organisation.

The recipient of the award for the final category, the Outstanding Business Woman of the Year Award is selected from the finalists across all categories.

A Judging Chair is appointed to guide the Awards process and maintain the integrity, credibility and prestige of these Awards for all past, future and current Awards holders.
