Our Inside Edge sessions get you up close and personal with our 2019 Sunshine Coast Business Women of the Year winners, created for our members to gain an inside edge on creating a successful business!
This month we are joined by 2019 Corporate Business Woman of the Year, Heidi Walker!
Heidi is the Managing Director and co-owner of Walker Seafoods Australia (WSA) – the largest wild caught tuna company in Australia.
Heidi is originally from Sydney and has a background in corporate sales and management. In 2006 she moved to Mooloolaba with her husband Pavo as Pavo decided to quit his corporate job and become a tuna fisherman. Their business grew from one boat and four staff to five boats, an export factory and fifty staff within a ten year period after relocating to the Sunshine Coast.
A usual week for WSA is exporting to the USA, Japan, Thailand and Spain and supplies high end wholesalers and chefs in Australia including Neil Perry, Josh Niland, Matt Moran and Tetsuya. Heidi is involved in all aspects of the day to day running of WSA with a specific focus on sales, marketing, financials and strategic planning.
Join us as Heidi opens up about her own experiences and learnings, giving viewers the best tips on how to create a successful business!
This event is only available for our members. Once members have registered they will receive an email with the Zoom link.
