The Sunshine Coast Business Women’s Network was founded to support, inspire, mentor and educate women throughout their business endeavours.

We are proud of our Network’s growth and fundraising efforts that now enable us to provide some financial support to women to achieve their personal and professional goals through our new Empower Program. First launched at our 2022 Christmas Breakfast by Kaitlyn Akers, the Empower Program was created in collaboration with our SCBWN committee with a goal to expand on our community give back program.

With up to 10 bursaries of $250 each to be given each year, the Empower Program aims to support those within the Sunshine Coast Business Women's Network who may be looking to undertake a course or initiative to further develop their skills but need financial aid to do so.

Bursary funds may be put towards a professional development course, accredited training, an online course, or private business coaching. For those who aren’t yet a SCBWN member, they may apply for a bursary to cover their SCBWN membership fees for a year.

Entries open on the 1st of December 2023 and close on the 29^th  of February, 2024 with the successful bursary recipients to be announced at our 2024 International Women’s Day event.
