Self-care and backing yourself are such important factors to success whether in your role as a business woman, a mother (where quite often others’ needs are put before your own) or living life in general. So as Mother’s Day approaches, we bring you the Self-Care expert and inspirational business woman Kim Morrison who will share her stories and tips that will resonate with anyone in business and/or motherhood. Treat yourself, and your mum if you can, to a morning of celebration and love and join the Sunshine Coast Business Women’s Network as we celebrate Mother’s Day.

There is so much more to Kim Morrison than meets the eye. Tenacity is probably the first word that comes to mind.  Her journey and all she has accomplished to date has all stemmed from her unwavering self-belief and her deep understanding that you must also take care of yourself first and foremost.

Kim set a world record as the youngest female to run 100miles in less than 24 hours in 1989. 68 year old world record holder Cliff Young was her mentor at the time and to this day lives by his ethos that success is 90% mental and 10% physical. She has used her running story as a direct metaphor for life – riding the highs, hitting the walls, pushing through the pain barriers, crossing the line and never, ever giving up!

Kim believes it is your inner power, passion and commitment and having truckloads of self-belief that distinguishes you as an achiever. It’s about visualising your dream and going for it - regardless of the feedback you receive or the challenges you face. As a 5 times best-selling author, creative director of Twenty8, aromatherapist, health and lifestyle educator and a multi-tasking mum and wife, Kim is someone who shares her essential tools for self-care, discipline, leadership and teamwork and most of all the importance of the art of self-love.

We look forward to celebrating the incredible roles that many of our members and guests hold – the role of mother – whether it be birth mother, adoptive mother, step mother, guardian or care-giver. On the 7thof May, we invite all who are mothers or have mothers (everyone!) to celebrate the amazing love, strength, guidance, wisdom and more that is shared by our beautiful mothers every day.

Event Bookings Close and Dietary requirements due - Thursday 2nd May, 2019

Please ensure you understand our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
